Amazon focuses on consumer experience. High quality listings and photos create clarity to the customers. The Amazon product photography standards are here to help you communicate with your customers and increase sales.
Maximum file size: 10 MB
Product image size: Images should be at least 1000 pixels in either width or height. Amazon recommends 2560 pixels wide.
Allowed File type: Tiff, Gif, and JPEG but JPEG is most preferred.
Additional guidelines:Online shoppers and Amazon prefer white backgrounds. Amazon interface is pure white and your product can flawlessly blend in. If the background is not pure white, it could end up with a shadow box rectangle that stands out from the Amazon background, making the photos appear cheap and unprofessional. Furthermore, Amazon ask sellers to use CMYK or sRGB color modes and the product should make up at least 85% of the frame. File names must consist of the product identifier (Amazon ASIN, 13-digit ISBN, EAN, JAN, or UPC) followed by a period and the appropriate file extension (Example: B000123456.jpg or 0237425673485.tif). You might not include dashes, spaces or other characters in the file name. You can’t include any text, borders, logos, mannequins or watermarks in your images.
Including high quality pictures is one of the best ways to attract buyers. eBay's photo uploader guideline makes it easy to add and edit photos of your items.
Maximum file size: 7 MB if using a photo uploader and 12 MB when you upload from the web.
Product image size: Minimum 500 pixel, recommended to use 800-1600 pixel.
Allowed File type: Tiff, Gif, Bmp, and JPEG.
In order to optimize for mobile, make your pictures 1600 pixels on the longest side. Keep the images clean, with no text or borders, and use an uncluttered background. You must have to include at least one photo. The first picture is called the gallery photo, appears next to the item's title in search results and is the main photo in your listing. You can add more pictures up to 12. Photos that have a high resolution (800 pixel or more) have the zoom feature automatically implemented.

The photo should be at least 1500 pixels wide. This helps customer to see larger image using zoom button. In order to keep images consistent in size, the photos have to have the same dimensions before uploading them. Images with varying sizes will be centred within a light-grey box.
Listing images can be sized differently depending on where they are seen on the site:
Dimensions for thumbnails = 75 x 75 pixels.
Dimensions for gallery images = 170 x 135 pixels or 155 x 125 pixels.
Try to keep the most important part of your item in the centre of the image. You're also allowed to adjust your thumbnails to determine how they will look in your shop.

Additional requirements: Shopify creates varying photo sizes that are used in different scenarios on the site. Although you can use different photo sizes, Shopify encourages you to use same height and width ratio across all featured images and as a seller you can upload up to 250 images.
